The purpose of the How to Perform Radon Inspections textbook is to teach the student how to perform radon measurements. It is based on the work of hundreds of scientists and radon experts, IAC2 certified consultants, IAC2, InterNACHI-certified home inspectors, InterNACHI®, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (AARST).
Inspectors will learn about the science of radon, sources of radon entry, general testing procedures, radon mitigation, and sample reporting language. This publication also reviews IAC2’s Standards of Practice for Inspecting Radon Mitigation Systems.
It serves as a study aid for becoming IAC2 Radon Certified. It may also be useful to students studying for radon mitigation certification and other radon certifications. There are several quizzes included that can be used as a practice exam.
This publication also serves as a practical reference guide for use on-site at inspections. Even experienced inspectors and consultants will gain valuable knowledge and access to resources for reference on-the-job. It is available as a hardcopy or downloadable PDF.
